OSMOTEC "BW 2000 - 15000"
Foreword
The "OSMOTEC BW" reverse-osmosis system is used to reduce the salinity
of brackish well water, with a maximum saline content of 8,000 mg/l (TDS, Total Dissolved Solids).
The "OSMOTEC BW" system requires pretreatment depending on the chemical analysis of the raw water. The
rates of flow and the characteristics of the water produced may vary according to the number of parameters of the
raw water (temperature, T.D.S., etc.).
Under standard conditions of use (featured in the relevant table), the saline content of the water produced is
lower than 500 mg/l.
Structural features and componentry
"OSMOTEC BW" Mod. 2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/8000/10.000/12.000/15.000.
- Plastic solenoid valve (supply: 24V);
- Nº 3 gauges with scale 0-6 bar with connections in AISI 316 stainless steel;
- Nº 2 gauges with scale 0-25 bar with connections in AISI 316 stainless steel;
- Multiple cartridge-type micron filter in AISI 304 stainless steel, complete with
polypropylene coiled cartridge with filtration degree of 5 microns;
- Minimum pressure switch positioned on the high-pressure pump's suction inlet with
stainless steel connections;
- Maximum pressure switch positioned on the high-pressure pump's delivery outlet
with stainless steel connections;
- Motor-driven high-pressure pump, multistage vertical centrifugal type, in AISI
316 stainless steel;
- AISI 316 stainless steel ball valve positioned on the high-pressure pump's delivery
outlet;
- Vessel in AISI 316 stainless steel, 400 PSI;
- Spiral-wound-type osmotic membrane;
- Needle valve in AISI 316 stainless steel positioned on the concentrate recirculation
line;
- Needle valve in AISI 316 stainless steel positioned on the concentrate discharge
line;
- By-pass ball valve in AISI 316 stainless steel on concentrate discharge;
- Direct-reading flowmeter with PVC connections for measuring the rate of flow of
the concentrate;
- Direct-reading tlowmeter with PVC connections for measuring the rate of flow of
the rate permeate;
- Direct-reading conducivity meter (supply: 24V), complete with conducivity probe;
- Low-pressure lines with PVC pipes and pipe fittings;
- High-pressure lines with AISI 316 L. stainless steel pipes and pipe fittings;
- Electric control board complete with supports;
- Painted carbon steel support skid.
