OSMOTEC "LS 2000 - 15000"

Foreword

The "OSMOTEC LS" reverse-osmosis system are used to demineralize water supplies and well waters with a low saline content (maximum T.D.S. of 1,5000 mg/1). It is different from the ion-exchange resin system as it does not require the use of acid and sodium carbonate (which result in problems in treating the regeneration eluates); they offer long-lasting reliability, and running them proves extremely simple. The "OSMOTEC LS" systems require pretreatment, which is often limited to the addition of a certain amount of sequestrant in order to maintain the calcium carbonates and sulphates in solution, to keep the diaphragm from being dirtied. The rates of flow and the characteristics of the water produced may vary according to a number of paramaters of the water supply (temperature, T.D.S., etc.).
Under standard conditions of use (featured in the relevant table), the conductivity of the water produced is always lower than 20 microsiemens/cm.
