CIVIL WASTE: Waste Water Treatment for residential areas, tourist villages and comunities in general, by means of the total oxidation activated sludge biological process. The excess sludge is completely mineralised either in the oxidation tank yet or in a separated tank (aerobic digestion). Particular care is given to ammonia oxidation
(nitrification), to denitrification, and dephosphating. INDUSTRIAL WASTE: Concerning industrial waste with biodegradable pollutants, treatment plants are suitably designed applying the integrated cycle activated sludge biologic process. The clarified water is then submitted to chemical-physical treatments (clarification-flocculation, filtration, disinfecting, etc.) and also to membrane processes (ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis), in order to obtain such water characteristics as to allow recovering it in industrial manufacturing. In case waste water is not high the organic substances, water is treated according to chemical-physical or membrane separation processes (ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, etc). The treatment itself may be integrated by special pre-treatment (ozone, ultraviolet rays, etc.) to obtain the desired effluent quality in compliance with the quality standard set by law, and allowing water recovery in industry, if necessary.
